Better than expected. We were reluctant to eat here based on past reviews and the place was empty. The service was great. The food was great and more than enough! We ordered appetizers only because the prices were a bit steep for us…but as other orders were delivered..we could have shared one of their meals. We recommend it! If you like spicy bbq sauce. ..ask for the Volcano!

Small Portions. The tri-tip sandwich was very small and not very good. This is a disappointing barbecue spot.

Terrible Service. Terrible service and overly expensive! It took 10 minutes to put in a drink order and there was almost no one in the place. We asked for water and never got any. 10 minutes after the 8 of us placed our orders the waitress came back to the table to inform us that an arbitrary number of us had to pay a split fee. 3 of the 4 couples at our table ordered the combo BBQ plate (which is $23 and obviously enough food for 2 adults) and the waitress wanted to charge $5 each to put 1 order on 2 plates. So after finishing our round of drinks we told her to box up our orders. We paid our $130 bill and headed to a beach park to eat the BBQ. What we saw in our to-go boxes was less than impressive. The combo plates were such small portions, one couple who ordered tri-tip received 2 very thin slices. The tri-tip sandwich had just as much meat and was on tasteless white bread. If the manager hadn’t insisted we pay a splitting fee, our party would probably have spend over $200 with drinks and dessert. We weren’t rude or being out of control in the restaurant and there was no reason for us to be treated the way we were. Definitely not worth the high prices and deplorable service, 2 thumbs down!

Better than good!. Wow, for a change in the Santa Barbara area we have a BBQ restaurant that isn’t just OK, or good, but is actually great. Best baby back ribs around, great pulled pork, pulled chicken, juicy smoked turkey, tri-Tip, great beans, great beers on tap and a million side dishes.Ask for the Volcano Hot Sauce to turn spicy bbq into SPICY BBQ!
