Cool location and history. Mediocre food. The French Dip was super lean, over cooked and bland. The grilled cheese was not worth 10 bucks. Stale bread. Glad we went, next time it will just be for a drink.

Great place to relax and grab a bite and a beer. Restaurant has good food, and a nice selection of beer and wine, and on summer weekends different bands come and entertain guests as they relax.

Not What it Used to Be. Unfortunately, that saying that you can’t go back is sometimes true. Have dined here once every few years while visiting Santa Barbara since going to college at UCSB in the 1970’s. Maybe it was just a bad night but in all honesty it just wasn’t anywhere near as good as it used to be on the night we went.

Off the beaten track. Look it up on the map. The address may be Santa Barbara, but it is out of town. So far out of town I once saw a bear ambling along the road as I drove there.A favorite of motorcycle enthusiasts. That also tells you something about the road, and the atmosphere. This is a place that is casually waiting at the other end of a weekend drive or a hooky day. If you have never played hooky from work and you work in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area, here is a recipe for de-stressing. Take the day off, and drive. Stop here, and eat. Enjoy the scenery. This is instant vacation. The food is fine. It is the place plus the food. Just plain wonderful

Awesome! The environment is very cool and the tri-tip sandwich is as great at Cat Cora described! Truly a biker’s paradise. http://www.jaunted.com/story/2009/10/2/3489/59742/travel/Cat+Cora+And+Cousteau+Dish+On+Their+Favorite+Local+Restaurants

This restaurant is in a very rustic and historic building. The tomato soup was fantastic. The grilled salmon was good. Pass on the French dip sandwich, however.
