  This is a caf located in an area that seems industrial so it is kind of hidden. The grounds look well kept and the interior was also clean looking if not a little dim in lighting. It had seating area inside and outside on a deck as well. I placed a to-go order and had browsed the menu online at leisure prior to arriving (they have a website). Mostly the fare is consistent with the health conscious needs of consumers that opt for local grown produce and clean eating. The person at the cash register was very friendly and accommodating when I enquired on how to order and she had a menu conveniently there if needed. I ordered a California salad with salmon, a chicken caesar wrap, a hot side of sweet potatos and requested an item not offered on the menu (tri-tip quesadilla). Some establishments do not make requests that are not offered on the menu but here it did not seem to be a problem. It was about a 15 minute wait for the items to be prepared and bagged. Everything was packaged in sturdy little wax lined containers and I did pause long enough to linger by their gelato display-maybe next time? This location also offers custom smoothies. When I arrived home I was a bit surprised by what came out of the take-out bag. The quesadilla was exactly as requested but my husband was disappointed when the chicken caesar wrap was full of caesar and devoid of chicken. The California salad was excellent but I was taken aback when I opened the container and instead of sweet potato I found mashed potato. Two of four items ordered came incorrect. My rating is straight down the middle just like the dinner…half good half not.I want to give Moxie Cafe the benefit of the doubt since when we stopped in it was an hour and a half prior to close so perhaps the staff had already begun to shut down mentally. We will try again and hopefully the next time the visit is better.
