Fabulous!. Went to the restaurant at my cousin’s recommendation. Well, I owe her big time.We started with fried brussel sprouts and a seasona salad of heirloom tomato, soft white cheese (forget the name), bacon and lettuce greens. YUM. Main courses: pounded pork cutlet (with spaetzle, pickled cucumber slices, and pickled cabbage), and lamb sirloin (thick sliced on top of mushrooms, carrots and potatoes in amazing brown gravy).Add in some wonderful local wines, and it was just an amazing meal. I would go back tonight in a flash!

MISS THE OLD MATTEI’S. I was here when the Brother’s took it over. Bartender was very unfriendly and it seemed to be a chore just to make a drink. We got seated in a very busy area near a wait station. We got up and left. Food may be very good, from what I hear, but if you want to spend a small fortune on a few bites and what seems to be a pretentious environment, then have at it. I miss the old Mattei’s that was none of this.

Always fabulous. Delicious food- this time we went with the horseradish crusted salmon, and the tuna tartare. The calamari (our kid’s order) was also delicious- lightly battered, with veggies in the mix. The service is always impeccable, and the wines by the glass were excellent.

Fantastic!. Everything we have had here has been excellent. The menu rotates with the season, and the place itself is very cool, in a historic building that is very classy and comfortable.
