  I was there for the first time and I have to be honest my dish presentation was sloppy n the atmosphere was sort of blue I will not come back btw ice cream was just plain imitation vanilla

  Good Food, Just Okay Service. I had to comment on the last reviewers comments about my previous posts. I find it irritating that just because he got good service, he would have the audacity to say that I am someone who is never satisfied. Does he know me? I clearly explained in my review that the food is good, but the service is hit and miss, which is true. He got lucky on his visit with good service, next time he might not be so lucky. I merely explained what has happened to me on more than a few visits with this restaurant, I didn’t base my opinion on only one visit (as he did). The feedback people leave on these reviews is to help fellow diners on whether or not to eat at an establishment, as well as, management (if they take the time to read them) in order for them to improve the areas that need improvement. We spoke to the manager at the time of our visit to explain our displeasure and he said he would take care of it. I didn’t keep my mouth shut at the restaurant and then come home and bash them on the internet. And I didn’t completely bash them either. As I stated before, the food is very good but the service does need work. Nothing hateful was said, just the truth. He doesn’t have to agree with me, but in the same token, he doesn’t have to put me down because he doesn’t agree with me.13 May, 2010Hit and Miss. Overall I still like Vintners, however, it’s kind of a crap shoot. You never know what type of service you will get. I have been back on several occasions since my first review and had less than great service on two occasions. Both times the service was bad, they were NOT busy but the waiter/waitress made excuses about being so busy that they didn’t have time to attend to our requests. LAME!!! Having been a waitress in my youth, I know for a fact, that you NEVER blame your poor service on a customer or for being busy. Customers don’t want to hear that crap. The last time we went, it was lunchtime and there were 4 other tables with two waiters, how do you call that busy? Our waiter would disappear for 20 minutes and then we had to flag him down for refills or bread etc. Never once did he apologize, he just kept saying that he was too busy. Doing what? and where? He certainly wasn’t waiting on any of his tables. There was a motorcycle convention in town and we surmised that he was in the bar with his biker buddies chatting instead of taking care of his paying customers. Needless to say, our tip reflected his poor service, although he probably just thought we were cheap. We intend to notify the manager of the decline in service in hopes that he will do something to improve it, otherwise, we will not be frequenting this establishment in the future, which is a shame, as their food is quite good.11 Mar, 2010Relaxing Atmosphere. This place has a really nice and relaxing atmosphere. I love the highback booths and the view of the SM Airport is nice too, especially after dark when it’s all lit up. The crab cakes were delicious and cooked perfectly. The brie and garlic appetizer was fabulous, in fact, I may have that for my meal next time. Service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

  Great Restaurant. I could not agree with the previous review given. Exceptional service with delicious food and impecable wine list for Santa Maria. The server was attentive with a great smile. We went in for the early bird dinner, but instead ordered ciopinno, my wife ordered the seafood special ( shrimp, scallops, snapper, and salmon in a beurre blanc sauce). The meals were a great value-large portions- freshly prepared with quality ingredients. My opinon is some people are never happy with anything, see the previous review, but this experiance made me happy. Highly recommended by a food and wine lover.
