This was our first visit to the restaurant. It is located at the heart of all the tech companies around. The ambiance and the atmosphere could be better . Especially considering first time visitors who come there. Apart from that everything else in this restaurant was really good. The server told us that we do not need to order much as one biryani dish would serve two people. And that was a plus! Therefore we went ahead with the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani and some mutton pepper fry and garlic naan. The food arrived at a decent pace and the Biryani was spicy and tasteful and we loved every bit of it. Even though the biryani was really nice and much better than most places I’ve eaten, I think I enjoyed the mutton dish the most as the mutton pieces were soft and easy to indulge. The meat was really well spiced cooked tenderly. We had the mutton with some naan and the combination was a hit. Portion sizes were nice and satisfying.I give an A+ for the food. The food here is better than most Indian restaurants around the Bay area. They also had some Chinese inspired dishes to cater for different needs. Also to mention that the prices were very reasonable for the food they serve. They could surely work on the outward appearance. The food was very satisfying and tasty, therefore, we ordered one extra biryani to go as well. We also saw many take away crowds ordering ahead, which is a plus to see that people like this place. Recommended for anyone.
Having searched far & wide for a great biryani place, which was surprising given this is the Bay Area, I think I found it in Bawarchi. I’m speaking just about the biryanis, but I think this is better than Paradise, and certainly as spicy as I’d expect a true Hyderabadi biryani to be. I’ve had the fortune of eating at the Bawarchi in Hyderabad, and though this certainly isn’t as spicy as that, I think this comes closest among all the joints in the Bay.I’ve tried various curries they have, out of which the pepper chicken was probably the best. When it comes to curries though, these guys are no match to Paradise.Pricing was OK, though I feel they could certainly work on the ambiance if they want to cater to non-Indians, who are already aware of the Bawarchi name.
Me and my friend had dinner on Friday night here. Place was almost empty at 7.00, staff was more than the guests. They have a good selection of andhra dishes, some indo-Chinese and dosa varieties. Food was above average, had andhra chicken curry, butter chicken, vijayawada chicken biryani and roti. Curries were bit salty but good though; portions were generous and tasted ok . Service was very bad and we had to wait for food to arrive for long time.
My first restaurant visit in Santa Clara area. Went here as it was walkable from office.Pretty standard in terms of food, ambiance and service. Food was quite tasty. Ok-ish experience at best
