Waffles have been breakfast main star player for years and when you were younger if you put anything other than syrup or fruits on your waffles you have just commented some serious sins. Well over years times change and people change. I praise you Butter & Zeus Waffles for being a player for these amazing contraptions. You dare to take waffles to new unfamiliar territory–Waffle Sandwiches– These are not just your average ordinary waffle sandwiches but unique creations such as cheeseburger, smoked salmon, brie & prosciutto and pastrami all using waffles instead of bread. Not in the mood for a ham and cheese well they have several sweet concoctions such as Nutella N Bananas, Smores, Banana Pudding, Churro Churro, Lime Pie and so much more. Trust me on this you can not just walk in here and not order anything because the way the aroma of toasting waffles circulates the air can cause severe EDS (Excessive Drooling Syndrome) It was very difficult to focus on what to order with all of this going on but I managed it. I ended up ordering some Barbacoa Pork Fries, a Pesto, Tomato and egg waffle for me and Chicken N Waffles/ Nutella N Bananas for my son. Within a couple of minutes the Pork fries had arrived and it looked so beautiful that it should’ve been considered a masterpiece! I don’t know who created such eye candy but thank you not only did it please the eyes it definitely satisfied my taste buds. The cola pulled pork was absolutely delicious. Nice strands of pulled pork were piled upon fresh fries. The Barbacoa sauce dabbed onto the pork was a little spicy but the cilantro lime dressing and sour cream helped relieved the burn a little bit. Yes the fries at the bottom were mushy but that’s Okay because they were smothered in saucy goodness. I can literally praise these messy fries for hours they were that good!My Pesto, tomato and egg waffle sandwich was surprisingly good. Even though it’s not really a sandwich more like a waffle taco but nonetheless still scrumptious. With the waffle accompanied with condiments and an egg it did begin to get a little soggy but it was edible and I devoured every last guilty calorie. So to me it was a winner! Sure this isn’t a high class eatery and Michelin star restaurants would frown upon such establishments but sometimes I like to indulge on carbs and I applaud Butter & Zeus for executing such a great concept!
