Was there for lunch with a group of friends on Friday, per their suggestion this was a great place for Indian food. However, my experience was quite opposite. To start with, parking was an issue; place was crowded and seating was very bad; were greeted with empty dishes: service was very bad; food was oily and was not lucky to try non veg food as they were taking ages to refill; tables were not clean and naan was no good.
Kabab & Curry is my new favorite Indian place in town. The food here seems to have a rare quality among Indian places in the West – spice. Tried a few items on the menu at the recommendation of the serving staff. Among them the tandoori fish, chicken tikka masala were the best.There’s a huge queue for takeaway & a large pile for home deliveries. That shows that the food here is quite good, but the overall ambiance isn’t. That would be the only major flaw, besides the fact that service was on the slower side.
I placed an online order for this place. The food was delivered after an hour, I had order Dal and Butter Naan. The Food was delivered Cold, Naan were wrapped in brown paper so got soggy coz of condensed vapor.Taste wise food was average, I could try other things as well provided they deliver and pack it in a better way. foodiyapa.wordpress.com
Had heard of this place from a number of people and so gave it a try. Came out with mixed opinion. Their tandoori chicken is very good – a very heady mix of marination, tenderness and juiciness. This item is strongly recommended.The lamb biryani was however a letdown for us. We were given to understand that this is one of their signature items and available only on limited days, We did not find it appealing – taste wise. Others have commented that the lamb portion is small and we tended to agree.Hence the overall average rating
Food is always good . fresh meat, quick service friendly service our staple choice is sarson ka chicken, chicken tikka masala, lassi , chicken biryani…I hear their buffet is very good too…
The kababs and tandoor were average and pricier than average. Chicken biriyani was okayish. Butter chicken was relatively better. Customer service is not upto the standard.
It’s an OK-kinda place! Kabab and chicken kadai curry were fine but the lamb biryani was terrible !! No spices at all. The biryani was full of pudina ( mint) leaves. We were disappointed!
