What a great dinner this turned out to be. We were late for our reservation that we had delayed twice already. So we had a bit of a wait. Great steaks … well it’s a steak place so they have that pat. Recommend the tartare from the starters and any of steaks. Good choices in the menu on the scotch also which works well for me. Highly recommend if u r at valley fair.
Show up at this joint on a Sunday evening at 7:45pm – place is half full – outside seating is quarter full. Given a dirty look by the hostess who looks my date and me up and down. She says before I even open my mouth that they are not taking walk-ins. Naturally taken back I explain I made a reservation on Open Table. She states there are no more reservations being seated for the evening. What? I asked to speak to a maitre d’ as we are 15 minutes early. she said he was unavailable. Oh It gets better. Another couple walks in. Gentleman provides his name and is seated. I asked again what the issue was with my reservation. She resumes to ignore me. I could have made an issue but apparently my money wasn’t good at this joint. My date and I went elsewhere. I believe I was judged…you see my date and I are a mixed race couple. We have never experienced this before…but given the facts we can not explain the service…or lack thereof any other way.

Went here for my mom’s 50th birthday. We did have a really long wait because we did not realize we would need a reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation before going. The food was amazing even with some service issues.
Definitely not a prime steakhouse. Tried the dry aged ribeye. Poor cut, poor temperature at serving and overall poor flavor. Servers were excellent however and service experience overall is quite good considering the location.
Found the filet to be bland and undercooked. Had to send it back. Service was great, but there was no wow factor.
A romantic night in San Jose. Nice little restaurant in the San Jose shopping district. It’s a nice place to people watch or enjoy the Italian supercars that fill the area. It’s worth sitting outside, the patio is heted so you should be comfortable even on a chilly night. The Ribeye was wonderful with mashed potatoes, I didn’t particularly care for the wild mushroom truffle risotto. There’s an extensive selection of wines and sparkling water at you (and your wallet’s) disposal. For dessert, the blackbery cobbler is wonderful. All in all, a nice romantic atmosphere that makes for a memorable night out.
