Nice fresh Nigiri and sashimi; wonderful flavor salmon is like butter. Toro tuna is amazing! Well with the price. It was crowded but they were able to get us in and out for lunch quickly enough that we were happy.

Went for lunch and could have done much better. Hamachi Kama was chopped in to small squares missing that tender meat under the bone. Baked muscles were under cooked, didn’t eat them and Tobiko was old and bitter not sweet. It was loud I mean very loud in there Just a bad spot I will not even give them a second chance.

Beef and Sushi Udon (dish review). Yes, I know this is not the real title of the dish, but it should be! It is literally a hotpot loaded with beef, fish, and noodles, all for around $15 dollars. The truth is, I love this restaurant but hate this dish. Boiled seafood is not a favorite of mine, and that’s when it’s done well. You should never boil shrimp to the point where they have a substantial crunch, and fish to the brink of turning into a tire. The beef and perfectly cooked noodles saved the dish to some extent, and the savory shiitakes added a nice kick to the broth and a texture otherwise missed.09 Feb, 2011Yuki Sushi (Japanese). With it’s Shoji Screen windows, sushi bar, and tatami mat seating, Yuki Sushi feels like a restaurant straight from Japan. It tastes like it too, as the kitchen pumps out dish after dish of amazing Japanese cuisine. For sushi, I could go on and on. Each piece has the perfect balance of fish to rice, and just the right amount of kick from the wasabi. For appetizers, the Kara-age Chicken and Gyoza are favorites. The chicken is savory and, with a little lemon, perfectly seasoned. One may believe it can’t get any better, but that’s before the main course. The Saba Shioyaki and Beef Teriyaki are both outrageous. Also, Yuki’s dinner boxes give you a tremendous bang for your buck, with plates loaded with entrees and makimono rolls. You must try this restaurant if you are a Japanese food enthusiast. It may just be one of the best in the Bay Area.Best Dishes: Sushi, Beef Teriyaki, Saba Shioyaki, Gyoza, Kara-age ChickenRating:8/10 tasteperiod.blogspot.com

Great food. We’ve been eating here a few times/year for the past few years. Every time, the food has been awesome. The service is a bit inconsistent at times. Sometimes our server has been prompt, friendly & helpful. Other times, we’ve been left sitting at the table desperately trying to flag them down for something as trivial as a water refill. Yes, this place is quite often (especially for dinner) very busy, but that’s not a good excuse for marginal service. Anyway, the food definitely keeps bringing us back.

Outstanding food, great service. Only thing lacking is time enough to try everything on the menu!
