They owners have smart mouths and they charge you fot tarter sauce when you order there most fish they give you two tarter sauces and they should give you double that instead they charge you for it they SUCK go to betty’s fish and cheeps they are much better.
Great food at a good price. For $10.99 you get three huge pieces of cod with fries and slaw.Definitely more of a take-outcounter than dine out atmosphere. Very fresh fish and chips, the artichoke hearts and mushrooms are to die for. I much prefer Mel’s over Bettys, btw. Bettys is expensivefor what it is, a lower quality product with slow service.
Mel’s The Best!. Mel’s fish and chips is a real treat. The fish is luscious, the cole slaw excellent and my family looks forward to each visit. So much better than that place out on Highway 12. Keep on keeping on, Mel’s!
My family and I have been coming to this place for years. Best fish and chips in NW Santa Rosa. Plus the cool old school map of Santa Rosa in there is fun to look at as well as the comic strips posted to the wall.
Gross. Go to Bettys, it will be worth your $$$
Best Fried Zucchini!. The other items are good too (haha!) but it’s all about the zucchini.
Went downhill. Used to like this place but somewhere along the way the light flaky coating became caked on batter. My guess is to cover a lower grade fish.
