Review. SHOGUN is not cheap for lunch OR dinner but the foooood is AMAZING! I eat lunch there 2-3 times a week. The Bento box is excellent the Sushi is VERY fresh and amazing and I could do their tempura every single day- The lunch crowd is mild and You are served in minutes of being seated. I love it! If I made more money Id eat there MORE! Try it once and youll LOVE it!
A++ Experience. Anyone who gave this restaurant a bad rating doesn’t know what good sushi is. Period. In all my experiences of dining in Japanese restaurants, Shogun has to be on the top of my list. Everything about Shogun is fantastic. The restaurant setting is an authentic Japanese setting. Wooden walls and frames in the restaurant, Rice-papered windows, and serene Japanese music playing in the background. That is truly Japanese. The food is phenomenal. Their appetizers are excellent, their sushi is fresh, and the entrees are delicious. Shogun gives generous portions. On their nigiri, the chefs give the perfect portion of fish and rice. And the rolls are magnificent. They are large and fair in price. But most importantly, their are DELICIOUS! They present their rolls very well and everything about it is unbelievable! I love Shogun! Everything about them is incredible; service, selection, food, and setting. Definitely a restaurant I will continue to dine.
I’ve enjoyed the food at Shogun since they opened. It is my favorite japanese restaurant in the Bay area. Sushi is excellent.
Terrible sushi. Non-japense sushi chefs.. The best thing was the lemon water. Waste of 12 dollars per roll!
