This place is AWESOME! So delicious! Great portions! The ambience was outstanding! The service was excellent. Other reviewers who complained about the service are crazy! The owner was very present and obviously cares about his guests! If you don’t like to wait don’t go when they are busy! Simple as that! And if someone tells you there is going to be a long wait, order an appetizer or leave! Wait or not this place is amazing! I will be going back very frequently!

60 Minutes. Let me start this way- the food is excellent. This is not a review about the food. But when you go out, you don’t choose a restaurant just for the food. I can go to my kitchen or the freezer aisle at Safeway for good food. When you go out, you go for an experience. And this experience sucked. My boyfriend and I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time, it was a weeknight, there were only a few tables, and we had a great time. There was a belly dancer, the food was great, and our servers were incredibly nice, if a little folksy and inexperienced. But tonight it was a little busier, and we decided to sit upstairs. We get up there, get our drink order in, receive our drinks in a timely manner, give our food order…. and wait. For more than an hour. Meanwhile, three tables that came in AFTER us, with more people, get their food and are having a great time. We’re still waiting. When our food FINALLY comes, I politely ask the waitress who I can talk to about this ridiculous wait time, and she says she’ll tell the manager. She doesn’t. I know this because when the manager came, he had no idea. Now, I’m taking a class on front house operations, so I’m a little biased, but my boyfriend backs me up on this- when a customer is irritated, and you made them wait MORE THAN AN HOUR for their food, you don’t MAKE EXCUSES about how it’s not really that bad, because you only have one cook making everything, and really, you had four tables seated at exactly the same time, so it’s hard on the guy. I mean, come on. You apologize. And maybe you comp our appetizer. Maybe you offer us free dessert. And if you are going to do so, you certainly don’t wait until we’re storming out the front door because you also haven’t brought us our check. So thanks, Torch of India, for ruining my evening. Not only did I not leave a tip, I won’t be coming back, and I will bad mouth you to everyone I know. Regardless of your great food.
