Specify burger cooking;rare to well done. Although I like the diner and the owner as well as the menu ,one needs to specify the cooking of ones own burger!if you don’t like your burger walking off the table you need to specify medium well or well done because if you don’t it will be 75 % pink and they call that medium?its happened the last 2 times so I called and the norm they say is medium but it’s not-it’s rare !!so just specify or grab your horse cuz yer gonna need to chase it down-still love the place,just???
Was a good place. Went to Dees for lunch today 3/14/14 . It’s always been kind of fun. Old style burger joint with 50’s feel. Ordered 2 caliente burgers with pepper jack cheese, and fries. Also one chocolate shake and water. Water never came. Food pretty good. Modest proportions. Price $30 and change. Yes. Just short of $31 without considering tip. Too expensive? Overcharged? Too bad. I always liked the place. If you go there hang on to your wallet, and check the Reciept.
Great food. Try Mel’s magic burger. The hospitality is excellent. Disregard the long winded negative review. These folks could not be any nicer.
Yum!. I must comment on the previous reviews of rude service. I have had wonderful service there. I’m handicapped and the owner falls over backward to come out to the car and bring menus, food, etc. He is from the Mediterranean and they are very formal until they get to know you a bit better. Perhaps that is why Americans perceive that as rude. Cultural isolation on our part. But the food is what should count, and it does. He offers mostly American fare, but also throws in dishes from his homelands, so there’s yummy eggplant, hummus, and yogurt dips, falafel, and meats. I love this because this type of food is hard to come by in our area for some reason. Greek joints come and go. Hurrah for D’s!
Great service for a diner. And they brought out a water bowl for my dog which was really sweet. Also, there tuna melt is freaking awesome. Great place to get a good lunch without spending alOt of money.
Service was a little rude, but food was good. Nice spot close to where I needed to be.
