The music inside was so loud that you can’t think. Both tables asked them to turn it down and they refused, so we left. Good food but bring earplugs.
Disappointing. Went there when they first opened, and liked it a lot. But lately, has gone wayyyyyy downhill. No fun vibe anymore. It’s like some big corporation with persnickity middle managers took it over. Bad experiences across the board the last few visits. Food mediocre. Drinks overpriced. Etc. (Though I must say, the wait staff has always been nice, and still is. Shame the environment is so bad now.)
Bummer. I really wanted to like this place! Sadly, I did not. I read that they are known for their garlic fries so we ordered some. Terrible. Pretty soggy and I think I’ve made better from a frozen Trader Joe’s packet. We were also excited to try this place because it was Tripel week and my husband loves a good tripel. Disappointed again that they only had Chimay in bottles. No Tripel on tap. The rest of the food we ordered was also mediocre. I will say that for as crazy busy as it was, the service was pretty good. I was amazed at how well the hostess was able to keep track of everyone and get them seated as quickly as she did. All in all, this is a vibrant neighborhood hangout that you might want to go to just for a beer or two…IF you can find parking.

The Blue Dog left me a little blue.. Tiny place with average pub food. You might need someone to recommend some brew if you’re not up to snuff with what’s on the list. This also means pulling some ching to clear the tab. Service was great but not enough stars to cheer me up. If posting your canine wags your tail…stop by.
The food is OK and the beer selection is good (still wish they had Woodchuck Cider but the place itself is too small. I wish there was mire seating at the bar somehow.
