Informed. We recently took my mom to Panzanella during her visit. We are vegans but she is Italian and is skeptical of vegan food. She said the food was like her mother used to make. The waiter was very conscious of our needs as vegans and gave us the information we needed, made suggestions, and checked to be sure we were content. I would appreciate it if they could offer a hearty vegan option with eggless bread and pasta or portabello mushrooms, balsamic vinegar, etc but we were sufficiently stuff with the delicious heirloom tomato salad sans cheese, salad and two kinds of soup.
My husband adores lasagna so I have tasted many, many lasagnas. This was THE MOST DIVINE lasagna I have ever tasted. I had some sort of lobster and crab pasta. My lobster was chewy which usually means overcooked. It also came in a giant body with legs so it wasn’t just a lobster tail. After a couple glasses of Chianti wrestling with a lobster wasn’t my cup of tea. If the lobster was whole the crab should be too. Ambiance was amazing. I have been thinking of the amazing lasagna, so has my husband. We will be back for the lasagna along with the great service and divine Chianti.
Mezzo Mezzo. I’ve been here several times and I must admit, it is getting worse all of the time. The appetizers are decent but I have never been pleased with the pasta. Any restaurant that drowns your place with pasta sauce has a lot to learn about italian cooking. I was fishing the spaghetti out of mounds of thick red pasta sauce. Honestly, it was disgusting. I would give this a very generous C-.
Love this restaurant. Food is consistently good. Waiters are so friendly… It’s almost as fun as a trip to Italy … Molto Bravo!!!
A+++++++++++++++++++. The food and atmosphere of the restaurant are both amazing and great. The price is perfect for what you get, and the food is real quality. I cannot wait to go back. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars.
Avoid this place at all costs. Went to dinner for a special occasion; over $150.00 for two people; food was awful, manager was rude and was not knowledgeable about wine. Don’t let this prevent you from eating at Drago enterco in Beverly Hills which is outstanding!! this place however is a disgrace!
