Great Service and Food. Stopped by here after reading their reviews and reviewing their menu online. Drove over from Windsor and it was well worth the drive. Though busy we were seated quickly, service was just as efficient and the food was fantastic. We had the three beet salad and a great beef burger.
Wow! A Guerneville must do!. A friend and I were in town for Levi’s Gran Fondo, and stayed with her family in their cabin in Guerneville. The Guerneville of my youth: Pat’s, which was located right next door, and the Notty Room in Monte Rio, long since burned down. Let me tell you, this is no old River fare, it is supreme. We started with the Brussel Sprouts, a must try, even if you don’t like the critters, beets with goat cheese (yum!), and the calamari. 3 of us ordered the pork shoulder with the most fantastic polenta ever tasted, one had fresh local trout, and one had the halibut. All of our meals were cooked to perfection, with some kind of magic mixed in…all amazing food, beautifully presented, and expertly served. A must try if you are in that area of the world!!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!. Good food, well-prepared and served — can’t say it any more simply than that. We shared an odd, but delicious, assortment of eats. Flash-fried brussels sprouts were the standout we can’t stop raving about. Crazy good. Truffle fries delish (and a nice portion size); roasted cauliflower tasty; arugula salad delightful. Salted brownie and a panna cotta with a berry reduction were great foils. If you find yourself in G-ville, note: 1) Boon doesn’t take reservations, so get there early or be prepared to wait; 2) the menu changes with the season and what is available — enjoy!
Heavenly bites. Shank, falling off of the bone.
Best fries ever!
Wicked!. I went to a private party at Boon and had GREAT food! As a former chef and restaurant owner, I can vouch that this place is top notch-the service was friendly and attentive, the food was plentiful and expertly done, and the space has a great feel to it. If you go, the fries with the truffle and garlic aioli are a must (I know-everybody does them, but nobody does them THIS well.) I had the black cod, and it was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Seriously worth the drive.
Great food + service.
