Brunch at Corks. I was just driving around on 116 when I spotted a sign for Corks/Russian River Vineyards. it was 11:30 and seeing as I hadn’t had time for breakfast I decided to stop for an early lunch, I had a delightful grilled cheese made with havarti and a side of fresh fruit salad. The service was great I had a very attentive waiter. I got to sit outside and enjoy a nice sunny lunch with a cool breeze coming over the vineyards in the back.Overall 5/5 great place for an outdoor lunch, I will for sure come back for a wine tasting and dinner experience.
I was surpised that more people did not know of this place – a cottage like restaurant attached to a vineyard. For a Saturday evening during barrel openning weekend, the place was quiet. The food was straightforward & good leaving the flavor complexities to the wine. Tonight I enjoyed the salmon topped with capers. My husband had the Irish lamb stew with heirloom potatoes. We finished up with a chocolate decandent cake & ice cream – a crumbly flourless cake. All & all, a good all around meal.
