Extremely talented service. No matter what question we had for our server, she could answer it right down to the ingredient. Knowledge of wine (check!). Knowledge of menu and food items (check!). Knowledge of why there is no cannoli on the menu (check!). [Ask, and you shall hear a story, invariably, involving Coppola himself.] Patio is breathtaking, ambiance inside and outside worthy of…yep…a film (not a movie, a film). There is an indescribable quality that existed everywhere one breathed, looked. Food was as good as it was presented, exquisite. Details, details, details. Even the espresso was, not suprisingly, top notch….authentic, italian recipes cover this menu front to back, from the appetizers to the pasta and the…espresso! Flagship Archimedes full body, delicious and more than one would expect from a flagship wine. [Yes, superlatives are on order and I cannot get enough]. Overall: eccellentissimo! and worthy of any detour one can imagine.
Coppola has always been one of our favorite wines, so our recent trip to Napa had to include a trip to the winery. The grounds are beautiful as it is surrounded by the acres and acres of grapes. We even got to see Frances Ford Coppola as he was out on the patio. The tour of the gift shop and memorabilia was very enjoyable. We were seated outside on the patio on a beautiful evening, the setting was just great. we had a very casual and long dinner + some Coppola wine of course. Service was great and the evening was a perfect end to our trip.
