The Best Raviolis Ever!. The Union Hotel has always been famous in the area for their raviolis. They’re always fresh and flavorful and have been that way for generations. Eating in the dining room brings me back to my childhood when grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins would gather for special celebrations. Can’t wait to go back!Oh yeah, the chowder is rich and creamy and the carrot cake is yummy (big enough for two!)
Fantastic Food & Ambiance. You can sit outside in the gardens or inside with the old world atmoshpere. Great for families or anyone. They have everything from pizzas, to great Italian food, and the best rib eye steak I ever had. There sourdough bread is to die for as is there clam chowder. They have great sandwich’s, and a bakery with fantastic dessert’s. The lasagna, ravioli, or anything is so good. But, that steak dinner was awesome! We love to get their pizzas to go and sometimes their minestrone soup & bread sticks or their garlic bread which is the best I ever tasted anywhere. They have special Father’s Day & Mother’s day brunches but you have to make a RSVP. It’s worth it, because it is a buffet and they serve everything. I would give this place 5 stars, and people have come here from the Bay Area for over 50 years. I’m from San Francisco and we came as kids and it was great even back then. YUM!
Excellent Food, Lovely Atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch and ate outside by the lovely fountain. We were pleased with the service as well as with the food. I had a Buon Gusto pizza. The pizza had Cheese, seasoned chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, sauted mushrooms and Creamy Garlic Sauce. It was very delicious. The pizza came with a generous potion of minestrone and a side salad. My husband had Chicken Florentine. This dish was a marinated and sliced grilled chicken breast is added to sauted fresh baby spinach, garlic and red bell pepper and tossed with Penne pasta in a light cream sauce. His dish came with soup and salad also. Both meals were very delicious and would recommend this place to anyone and would come back again.
Honestly the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The sausage was horrible, nutmeg really? That much isn’t necessary in anything. The service was good, sorry if the waitress could sense my displeasure with the pizza but it was that bad. At least I saved them a carry out box.
Wonderful Family Dining. Loved this place for what it is and that it has not tried to change over the years. You are seated at a table with a checkered tablecloth and a candle on the table in a chianti bottle is lit for you. You decide on a main and everything else is included, soup, salad, and the fabulous bread! Add a glass of local wine and you have the perfect lunch in a great family run restaurant. Enjoy the ambience and the locals, you’ll go away happy and full of wonderful food and warmth.
