The food and the service were both terrible! It was highly recommended to us so our expectations were high. The waitress was rude, did not check on us once after our food was ordered, placed hot plates in front of two of us wearing a hot pad and did not warn them of the extremely hot plate. The steak was tough and chewy, cooked very well done when it was ordered as medium rare. Lamb chops were like eating a salt lick. Overall we were extremely disappointed in our experience at the village inn and will not be returning.
