So-so. We were looking for something on a Saturday in October that we could get into quickly. Stopped here and got seated promptly. Food was served in average time – 10-15 minutes. My wife’s fajitas were good. I got the Chevy combo and it was rather bland. Just so-so. But keep in mind I’m not much for true mexican, but more tex-mex, which wasn’t represented on the menu. So probably wouldn’t return.
Food was fresh excellent. Tortillas. Are made there. We watched he making them came at 2pm one in south tahoe and walked right in waitress took our order within 5 minutes. Food out quickly We had chicken tortilla soup I had Santa fe chopped salad and my husband had fajuaita tacos which he loved as well as the fried ice cream I had their Chiquita sundae bite size 🙂 Our table did not have silver ware on it When we sat down the other reviewer was so upset about being lied to because he did not see 10 place settings on table…waitress gave us silverware very quickly
Don’t spend time or money on this place.. foods okay not what I was expecting. Service took forever. And no queso!!!!!! What Tex Mex doesn’t serve queso!
Went here for lunch today, the service was not good at all, the portions were pretty small, had to wait for chips, refills on drinks etc… Food quality was good and what I expect from Chevys, but this particular location needs some more help when it comes to customer service!!
Probably the best Tex-Mex food from a chain restaraunt. If you are looking for a comfortable familiar setting, this is the place. Great tortillas
Great food. We started with the Tortilla Soup, DH & I shared the special (Pork taco, Beef Taco & Crab & Shrimp Tamale), my son & his GF had the mixed grill. Everything was great, we even had room (barely) for fried ice cream.
South Lake Tahoe Chevy’s. We made reservations for 10 on July 3 at 7:00 p.m. and waited over 30 minutes for a table. On top of that we had inquired how long our wait was going to be after waiting 15 minutes and the host told us that the table was ready, but there were no servers available. I went looking around at the table and there was no tables set up for 10 people. So not only did she lie to us, but they also made us wait. There is no problem waiting if you are told you have to wait a certain amount of time, but to have them lie on top of it. Not appropriate. Once we got our table we noticed that is was very dirty. We had to have them come clean it before sitting down and the floor was an absolute mess. Food all over the place including on the chairs that we were to sit on. Very, very disappointed with this Chevy’s. Will never go again!
