Say what u will. La promesa is the best authentic Mexican in tahoe. Yes I’ve tried them all, more than twice. I know quality Mexican, its unfortunate this is the only place in south lake worth eating (Mexican). Plus not all microwaved lol. It’s a top notch bakery as well.
Salsa Bar. Limes, Radishes, Jalapenos, Verde Salsa, Red Salsa, and Habanero Salsa. Plus more I stopped at the Habanero11 Oct, 2010California Burrito. Carnitas, Pico de Galo, French Fries, Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Jack Cheese. That’s right French Fries. So Good only $4.99
Food was decent but most of it was microwaved. Not much to the so called salsa bar either.
Simple but pleasant place tucked in the back corner of a shopping center. Hit the spot for tacos, tamales and burritos. Nice little salsa bar. I keep going back!
