More takeaway on our road trip, nothing special but not bad either. They were pretty good at catering for the gluten free needs too. We only ordered mains, although their ice-cream section looked good too.
Often visit Red Hut when visiting town. Have always been happy. The kids love the pancakes, and I am a fan of the Usual special. Always good, and their new locations has ice cream too.

I was born and raised in S. Lake Tahoe and I grew up eating at Red Hut so when Red Hut came to Reno I was looking forward to it. My family and I tried it for breakfast and it was just ok…we may give it another try one day.
New Reno Location. I have been to the Red Hut in S. Lake and we eat breakfast at the Carson location often. Great food, always friendly. I was surprised to see a new location in Reno (Moanna/Lakeside) and popped in for a burger. Same great food, and same great service.
Good food, quick service. We ate here on a Saturday morning. Our food was delivered quick (5 minutes?) and hot. The french toast was good, the oatmeal was very dry and we needed to add hot water to get it to the consistency we liked. Diner-like place, but the prices were higher than a diner.
Disappointing. We had breakfast at the original Red Hut cafe in South Lake Tahoe and were disappointed. The french toast was good but the western omelette was awful, the service was poor, and it was painfully crowded. I can’t speak for the other Red Hut locations, but we won’t be returning to this one.
