This place was so inviting and everyone so pleasant and friendly. Loved the Jazz player. We went for a birthday and he played happy birthday. Food was phenomenal. Salmon scallopini to die for. Bread pudding melts in your mouth.
Terrible! Serious when sole fish is the special of the night…prepared 2 different ways, first thing they should know how to cook it until it’s done. My husband had to sit there while I ate & then it comes out second time rubbery & gross. Just a waste while on vacation.

Wine anyone?!. The food was great and so was the atmosphere and everything else. However, something that I just couldn’t shake was the wine pours for the table. Our table of 6 had 4 wine drinkers and my first pour was quite small. Then once I had. finished my tiny pour of wine and he began to pour everyone’s second glass, my second glass had barely another 2 sips! He poured almost half glasses for the other 3 wine drinkers and gave me the very end of the wine. Who doesn’t know how to properly and evenly pour wine? That’s why tables order bottles! Absolutely ridiculous!
Best Food and Service. The staff and ambiance at Scusa Italian Ristorante was fantastic! Me and my husband wanted to celebrate a special event and they treated us like royalty. We not only got stellar service, but the food was amazing! My husband got the SEAFOOD FETTUCCINE and I had the SHRIMP, CLAMS AND MUSSELS SCUSA. We were both fighting over who’s dish was better. Oh and we also had the GARLIC BREAD SCUSA for appetizer, again, amazing!Anyways, I can not speak more highly of the staff and food. We will definitely be back whenever we are in South Lake Tahoe! Thank you to the staff and General Manager at Scusa, you really went above and beyond and made our night so special!
Incredible. Great service, outstanding food! Love the outdoor back patio. The lobster ravioli is to die for! Best food in Tahoe hands down.
Dont go there if you have kids. not kid friendly. they forced us to sit outside in the chill because we had kids with us. staff not accomodating.
