I haven’t been in the Bay Area more than a week but I’ve already been here twice. I love the food and the price is good enough for me to return here very frequently. Simple setting and good food. What more can you ask for! Good and courteous owner/manager too!
I won’t be exaggerating if I say that ‘Little Indian Cafe’ is the best place for Indian food in San Francisco. I tried Indian food at so many places during my visit to San Francisco, but nothing was as closer to Indian food as the ‘Little Indian Cafe’. Again Thanks to Abhishek – my dear friend in California, who made sure that I eat at the best places in California before heading back to India.I am kind of speechless to share the gourmet experience I had at Little Indian Cafe, when I saw so many Indian dishes at one place – each looking extremely nice and imparting an appetizing aroma to the entire place. The buffet on offer had Kadi, Rajma, Turnip, Daal, Boiled Rice, Rice Biryani, Raita, Salad, Kheer, Gajar ka Halwa & Tea and trust me, each and every item was perfection objectified. The sitting area is also very warm and cozy and you will be surprised to see that the place is not only visited by Indian, but by people from all over the world – which speaks volumes of the quality of food that is served here. The owner of the place (who hails from Gurdaspur in India) is such a great host, he makes sure that he gives a personal touch to and every customer who visits the restaurant, by talking to them and makes sure everyone is comfortable.A must visit place in California state and you can’t visit the place just once 🙂 🙂
I’ve been to quite a few Bay Area Indian joints in the few months I’ve been here. I’d rate Little India Cafe among the best of the lot. It is a small place & unlike the famous Indian restaurants there’s no long waiting list.Over the course of multiple orders I’ve tried many of their curries, rotis, grilled items & biryanis. So far I’ve not found anything I didn’t like, though I felt some of the curries were on the sweeter side.In terms of service, the Punjabi owner of the joint is a very friendly person, giving a more homely vibe to the small joint.
