Fresh, Fun, Fabulous!. Always a favorite stop when I’m in Sunnyvale, I love the Hawaiian Chicken meal that is served on a hot rock so that it is literally as freshly cooked as can be, and I RARELY order chicken in restaurants! The fondue is also AMAZING!!!

Let Down. Had high hopes that this would be a great meal and worth the $60 per. It wasn’t, not by a long shot. While the meat, veg and fruit dippersvwere fresh and varied, the cheese, chocolate, desert dippers, some sides and drinks were underwhelming. Cheese fondue was thick and tasted processed. Maybe I was spoiled by my sister’s boyfriend who introduced us to fondue in the 1970’s with cheese he brought with him from Austria. The ‘dark’ chocolate tasted like sweet milk chocolate and instead of fresh cherries, they violated it with a pile of minced maraschino cherries. All mixed veg sides had clearly been overcooked and had been waiting around way too long: broccoli was olive green and mushy; cauliflower that once was orange and purple sat so long they retained only whispers of diluted watercolors. Iced tea was admittedly made from a syrup base. This was a $180 meal for three with 20% tip and it sucked balls. Funny that we ran into friends in a bar next door and one guy said he and his wife had a disappointing meal there.

I love finger food and how social fondue can be. This is a delightful setting for a quick lunch or a long dinner. The fondue isn’t my top pick but it is the best for the area. I also enjoyed the Hawaiian chicken and citrus salad.
