  Having covered virtually all of the Donut and FroYo options in the area, I opted to start giving authentic looking Mexican burrito shops a go. First on the list? Manny’s Mexican Grill.Star 1 – How was the service and atmosphere?Manny’s is about as basic as it gets, and as a result, it actually provides a good marker by which to judge other Mexican joints in the area. With a counter, a three-selection salsa bar and some tables, the process is straight forward the the service pleasant and fast. Star Granted.Star 2 – How were the portions relative to the cost?Opting to go for a Carnitas Burrito, I was pleased when my total came to $6.21, and even more pleased when I saw that my burrito was well portioned (roughly the size of a Chipotle burrito).Additionally, with a broad menu that includes a host of seafood and platter options, Manny’s provides a varied and affordable menu that is just right. Star Granted.Stars 3/4 – How was the food?To be honest, my burrito was pretty plain (as I’ve found is often the case at shops where a salsa bar is offered), and I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t come with any Cheese. While not quite as good as say a Chipotle burrito, my dish was satisfying, and I appreciated the fact that it came with chips. Single Star Granted.Star 5 – Would you eat it every day if you could?With so many options in the area, including a plethora of Chipotle Mexican Grills, I can’t say I’d come to Manny’s again in the near future. While the food was alright, the establishment as a whole was simply a bit too basic, and as a result the experience was pretty forgettable. No Star Granted.
