Just what I wanted. Newbury Park, California. A year ago our Chinese student’s parents cooked for us again at our home. We were delighted with the food they prepared. I asked that a dish be adapted at Red Wok. They nailed it! I was told they will prepare whatever dish I want. The restaurant is small. The servings are large. We received complimentary wonton strips with sweet sauce and hot mustard for dipping. We were the only table speaking English. The owners speak very good English and are very nice friendly people.
Highly recomended. This is, definitely, one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. Small and welcoming, with great variety and detailed preparation. Not like some other Chinese places, the food here is not heavy.We come back for dine-in and take out. We love it.
1 out of 10.! Orange chicken super salty. Not good at all.
I’ve been going to Red Wok for 10 or so years. It’s a great restaurant for authentic mandarin cuisine and the family has had so many memories.
I love their cheery disposition and the food Is very good. In particular the garlic chicken is my favorite. The shrimp noodle soup is also very good..with a wonderful delicate broth in the background.
The food certainly isn’t the worst in the area but it is merely ok, don’t expect much.
