Taco Tuesdays. This is a nice, basic Mexican food restaurant. I’ve only ever sat in the bar, so I can’t vouch for the restaurant service. Bar staff is friendly and remembers their regulars. On Tuesdays, if you sit in the bar, you can order $1 tacos. Yeah. $1 tacos. These are hard shell (they may make their own – they aren’t out of a box) tacos with your choice of chicken or beef. The beef is not ground, and comes with lettuce and tomato. Their tortilla chips also appear to be homemade and are very good. Their basic salsa is good but I always ask for their special, spicier habaero salsa instead. Their nachos are also respectable, but really your best bet is their $1 tacos!
Give this one a miss. Every time we go to the Alamo, the food is worse and the service slower than the time before. I dont know how you can serve Mexican food that is nearly devoid of flavor and spice. Even the jalapeos were tasteless. We will not be back.
Nice family Mexican resturant. We like this place and keep coming back, with the kids, every couple of months. Food is good and not expensive and the service is adequate.All and all, I can definitely recommend this as an inexpensive family outing.
