Inspired, passionate, perfect. Attentive staff, and fantastic fusion
Nouvelle Japanese w/kimchi. I LOVED this place. I admit I was skeptical.. We sat at the community table. Drinks were served promptly. Service was really good, servers were on time, busing was fast, you did have to cal the waiter if you wanted something, but I have no problem with that. Food: The good. mackerel sashimi app , charred at the table, grilled chicken leg,, tuna sashimi salad with Korean dressing, and my favorite : pork/kimchi/mushroom main course. DESERT WAS AMAZING! Maple creme brulee, and sesame ice cream! The just OK: Mochi egg roll: needed more spice. Bacon would be be perfect addition. The not so good: Parmesan risotto tasted like tapioca/boba- I am sure that was the thickener- with extra powdered cheese it was ok, but I don’t need to order again . The ambiance was great, the music was great- reggae, world music, the lighting just right, and the mix of cultures eating there was fab. Lots of native Japanese too! The $$ is not quite right, , we spent $107. with booze and desert excluding tip. I would definitely go back. I am sure later is louder and more crowded.
