We visited this restaurant after just arriving in La Jolla and needing some quick but great food. This was just the answer. The service was great and the food was served by friendly staff and was great. Worth a visit

I went to nozomi based on their reviews, it seemed that their specialty rolls vere large and delicious. I ordered the special boston roll. I asked for brown rice, the first roll came out with white rice, but she took it back right away, second came with brown rice. Now, service is great, the presentation is really nice, however, when i order a 20 dollar roll (14+1br+1.5tax+3tip) i expect to get a decent amount if fish. The amount of salmon on/in the roll was insulting, it was. 90% rice, cucumber, crab (which was not even supposed to be in the roll according to the menu) and 10% salmon i strongly recommend other places such as pb sushi or fish attack sushi house(alway a wait, but fish is fresh and plentyful) where you get what you paid for
Fun Place!. Fun place to go have some sushi if you’re in the UTC area. You won’t confuse this place for fine dining, but considering that you’re likely going in for a casual meal, you have to frame your expectations accordingly. And for what it portrays itself to be, Nozomi2 does just fine. It’s located in the rear of the Regents Park Business Mall and does a reasonably good job of creating an inviting atmosphere with asian-style area dividers, bamboo-themed outside seating and accessible torchieres. The Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box I had was freshly prepared. It hit the spot just fine. Nozomi2 has a wide variety of offerings & I’m sure you’ll find something to your liking.
Great kitchen food. I love the tempura udon, green noodles, and other kitchen specials, but the sushi is whack. -.- tons of selections for rolls, so i have to admit they try, but the fish is not fresh and the rice is not seasoned right. all the rolls look very creative but don’t taste that great. still i will always go back for their noodles.
