I was staying up the street at the Sheraton for a few days last week. Got takeout twice from Pho La Jolla. Really good fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce (I’m vegetarian and chose the tofu/veggie option), and I had a wonderful tofu/vegetable cold noodle salad with a peanut dressing and sriracha packets. Also loved the jasmine iced tea. Portions are very good and prices quite reasonable. Staff very friendly and professional!
Pretty good pho, wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had but not bad at all. I’ve gone a couple times and will likely go again since there are not many other options in La Jolla for pho. Service is pretty slow though and not super friendly (if you’re looking for that), but efficient. Seating is kind of awkward because you can either sit at a two person table or a long table with strangers.
Very Fresh. I eat at this restaurant regularly and it is my favorite Pho restaurant in San Diego. It beats the Convoy restaurants with its fresh ingredients and flavor. Their beef tenderloin sandwich is one of my favorites. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Excellent soups and Vietnamese entres .
I ordered the special combo and egg rolls. Price was good. Only Pho available near La Jolla. Everything was great
Good pho for the nieghborhood. Its hard to find bad pho I confess. Some are better than others. Variables include how much cilantro versus green onions, are the sprouts fresh, do they have chili oil or chili paste, meat options (I usually choose the rare steak), price. I guess if a place was bad at every variable I wouldn’t like it but I think most establishments respect their product enough not to be bad. Pho La Jolla to me is good/above average. Its is priced about $1 more than other equally good establishments I have been to, and they have chili past instead of chili oil which I prefer. But other than that it is very good.
