I love Roy’s either for dinner or for a nice Happy Hour. We enjoyed Happy Hour this time and arrived at 6:50… just in time to place our order. Happy Hour gets pretty crowded here after about 5pm, but we were able to find a spot. We tried the Ribs and my favorite – the Ebi Roll. Both were delicious, but the Ebi Roll is my hands-down favorite item on the menu. The service was great, as usual.

A good restaurant for Japanese food, fresh & flavourful but not very authentic. Sushi is good, Shrimp stuff was good. Liked the Grilled Fish with Rice, Gyoza could have been better.

This was approximately our 10th visit to a Roy’s, third time in San Diego. We shared the canoe for 2 appetizer (tuna roll, spare ribs, lobster pot stickers, and spring rolls). Each was prepared exquisitely and served in a different sauce. My friend ordered the Filet Mignon and Maine Lobster Tail. Filet was cooked as ordered and lobster was great. I had the classic 4 (combo of tuna, salmon, mahi mahi, and butterfish). This may be the best meal I had at Roy’s. Each fish was prepared in the same manner as if you ordered it separately from the menu

Excellent!!. It was my first time trying Roy’s, and I really enjoyed it. They had a prix fixe menu for the current season, so I tried that. The food was delicious and fresh with lots of flavors and very well balanced. Also what I remember the most is their chocolate souffle!! It’s molten hot in the middle and very rich. I finished the whole thing! You’ll have to try it especially if you are a chocolate lover like me.

Beautiful!. How could you not like the dining at roys. The pre fixe menu of kobe beef sashimi with a micro green salad had a beautiful presentation and awesome taste. The braised short ribs melts in your mouth and had a very rich sauce on it. The chocolate souffle’ was to die for, incredibly rich and oh so melty and gooey! Awesome service from start to finish and not pretensious. A+
