Delicious Mexican food. My favorite is their chili rellenos, I can’t stop thinking about them and don’t skip dessert, their flan and fried ice cream are amazing!
A little disappointed by the quality of food. I would assume Mexican in the SoCal area is great (having moved here from the south) but so far I have yet to find a great, affordable, quality meal. Our waitress was cute and attentive and I give her props for dealing with our party of 8. However, my enchilada was extremely dry and lacked flavor. Later on in the evening I felt pretty sick. Overall I probably won’t go back unless it was for drinks and the chicken nachos (only decent thing I thought)
My new favorite Mexican restaurant! Fantastic margaritas! The salsa is fresh and tasty! I ordered the steak fajitas and they may be the best that I ever had. That says a lot! I wish it wasn’t 1500 miles from home! The service was fast and personable. I will be back! I just with it could be weekly.
Good Mexican food. 10/28/14There were 10 of us for a Birthday Party and we were all pleased with the food and the service. Salsa and chips very good too. We will be back!
Elvira’s Grill-Upland. I don’t live in the area but work locally from time to time. I do a lot of driving and I’m always seeking a decent place to eat with many times disappointed. I drove by and noticed the Now Open sign in the front and decided to take a chance! As I entered, I was greeted with a bright smile and was kindly seated. The waitress delivered some warm chips and awesome salsa, not too hot but just warm enough to tingle my taste buds! I looked over the menu and to my surprised I was taken by the variety of dishes. I didnt even know where to begin! From Burritos, Enchiladas, Tostadas and Tacos with choices of meats to sandwich wraps, soups, salads, Burgers and fries. I may not be a breakfast person but I definitely will be back for the omelets and Waffles!I decided on the Chicken Flautas with rice and beans. When my plate arrived it looked so good I just wanted to dive right in! I almost destroyed this beautifully set platter with my anxious hands! I held back just long enough to take a quick picture then I dug in. I spread some salsa over the steaming beans and rice before I ran one of the plump chicken filled flautas through the quacamole and sour cream! I looked over at the waitress and I dont know who was smiling more! She came over to see if everything was ok with my meal and I was honestly speechless. Of course, I couldnt speak with my mouth full, so with a smile and a quick nod of my head she was on her way to refill my drink. After my meal I was able to find out a little about the place and how Elviras Grill began. Its a warm story of a real family with the passion for food. The hospitality is awesome and the food is…well lets just say, you got to try it for yourself! Enjoy!
