I only write reviews when restaurants deserve them. Food and service have to be better than good. The sushi is more than excellent. The chef is the owner and he really makes sure the fish is fresh and cool. I hate when the fish is warm or room temp. Everyhing here just taste so much better than other sushi bars. The place is a little hidden and I’ve never seen more than two chefs behind the bar but it never really gets crowded so it’s never a problem. They also have all you can eat for $23 before 2:30, $29 after. They are very friendly and if you start buying the chefs shots, he’ll bring out his secret sake brew to share.

Weak AYCE sushi!. Bah. acashi sushi is bleh. cruised by acashi because i was so excited to hear about an AYCE sushi joint that prepared sushi as you order it…………..and when i had my first opportunity to go this past week…..i was so excited.however, the excitement turned into trepidation when we rolled in @ 8pm and the place was maybe 10% filled. uh oh!!!! prime dinner time and nary a diner in sight. alarm bells started going off in my head.we were greeted enthusiastically by the hostesses and were immediately seated and presented with menu’s. since were were going to rock the AYCE deal for $25pp, we ditched the main menus and perused the offerings on the AYCE menu. strike 1no appetizers are included with the AYCE meal…..wtf? yep, no appetizers are included in the meal. this was so ghey. how can you call it an AYCE meal if you do not incluide appetizers……and!! appetizers probably cost much less to produce per order than sushi.we started off with a bunch of nigiri; from maguro to sake to hamachi. we also ordered up uni, amaebi, oysters and albacore.strike 2uni had the consistency of jello left out in the hot summer air. dude, that was the most distubing thing i’ve seen in a while. uni that was almost dripping. errrr…….we ordered up a few rolls as the nigiri was just ok and not fulfilling. however, i am glad i asked if the rolls contained crab prior to consuming them cause the answer was yes. whew….avoided a fun night of anaphylaxsis. the maguro has no flavor and the fish to rice ratios were fubared. i understand it’s an AYCE joint but is it necessary to have 1 part fish to 10 parts rice? dayam!!! the hamachi and sake were probably the best cuts all night.service was very pleasant but the food was underwhelming….i doubt i will go back considering midori is a lil bit closer for me to drive and their sushi is tastier.since there was no strike 3 and i am in a good mood, i give the place 2 stars.
Not To Good. I went to a different sushi spot to compare the two and turns out that acashi isnt as good as they say it was so my first restaurant wins. If you want to know what it was..club sushi
