This used to be the last Good Earth restaurant in California. It had a strong local following with regulars eating here daily. A lot of people were upset when Good Earth closed. They gutted the inside and renovated the space to a more elegant restaurant. Gone are the water features, rocks and plants. Diners now can sit outside on the front patio or at the indoor/outdoor bar to sip a Craft beer on tap. There are bottled beers, Granville martinis, handcrafted cocktails, and a good selection of red and white wine. Inside the decor is snazzy and inviting. On the two side menu, I like their veggie burger. It’s moist, flavorful and topped with guacamole. All put together on a brioche bun. The burgers come with fries. If you would like sweet potato fries, a side salad or soup for a slight additional fee. There are handcrafted sandwiches, lunch plates available until 4 PM, and artisan pizzas made with whole wheat dough. Some of the pizzas include a chicken and blue cheese with fig and pinenuts or a bacon cheeseburger pizza with red onion and a Secret sauce. There are salads, soups and shareable items such as uptown mac & cheese, a taco trio with shrimp, steak, chicken or salmon tacos. Pasta lovers will have a choice of five different pastas including beef stroganoff. For dessert there is a sampler with chocolate cake, berry shortcake, a Brul and banana brownie. I really like this place and will come back again. Parking is valet or self behind the restaurant in a underground facility. Be sure to get your parking ticket validated. dineandtravel.wordpress.com
