Great…I mean all-time great. Growing up in this area, I’ve been eating here since the 90’s. The staff really is the best, I’ve gotten to know many of them and they are TOP NOTCH folks. (I rarely say that these days, and since I’m getting paid ZERO for writing this, I mean every word). The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is they have raised their prices substantially the past year or two and the pizza slices are thinner with less cheese. But ultimately, I’d rather this treasure of a pizzeria stay afloat in Obama’s economy.
Never thought I could be disappointed with pizza but I must say the sausage was gross .
More Hype Than Yum. I don’t get it — pizza is simply run-of-the-mill California pizza, no New Yorker is going to get misty-eyed with this.
Best Pizza on Earth!. Kinda says it all, the Blue Collar thin crust pizza is the best I have ever had anywhere. Watch out if you get the regular pizza cause it is enormous. The Baked Ziti is incredible as are the other paste dishes but the pizza is the reason to go to Peep’s. I have gone to Peep’s since I was a student at North Hollywood High School just down the street that was like 25 years ago when I graduated and about 27 years ago that I first discovered the Peep’s, just thinking about it now even though I just ate I am getting hungry for a slice. GO, GO! Delivery might take a few minutes longer than the average Pizza joint, this is no way average, it is THE BEST! So go, pick up your pizza and write your name on the wall, beside if you cut the right card your pizza might be free!
Best Pizza in L.A.. The best pizza in L.A. If you get the blue collar special, it’s only $7 for a 16-inch, thin crust, cheese pizza, the best deal in town. If you get a thick crust, there’s so much stuff on it that the toppings are a whole meal themselves. My wife shares the opinion of other women who have been there in that she thinks it’s a dump (I guess because it is). Still, I feel comfortable taking 6-year olds there, as long as they don’t ask about why the f-word is scrawled on the walls with the rest of the graffiti..
This pizza place has a cool vibe. You can write anything on the walls. The walls all have graffiti on them. Joe peeps food is excellent. Especcially the thin crust pizZa. Also the garlic bread is great.
I’ve been a fan of Peep’s since the late 70’s. Peep’s makes the best pizza either side of Katmandu. Khagendra, my faithful Sherpa guide agrees. Seriously — if you’ve never tried it, pick up the phone right now, order a pie (with heavy toppings), pick it up so you can scribble a bit of personal graffiti on their wall (it’s encouraged), and enjoy. You’ll thank me later.
