Good Italian standards. Attentive service. Can carry on a conversation without difficulty. Trattoria style but could use some decorative warmth. Too much tile, like a bathhouse.
A Gem in the Saln Fernando Valley. Both of my experiences at Mazzarino’s have been great. The food is delicious, the staff are pleasant and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy, romantic and family friendly too. The pizza is really good and I love the bruschetta!! Give it a try if you’re in the mood for Italian.

Best Italian food in the Valley!. My family and I love Mazzarino’s. From the pleasant staff and excellent service to the authentic Italian dishes and delicious desserts, this place is a MUST. Oh yeah, the pizza is amazing too. And very inexpensive.
Different. All those positive reviews, was before the fire over a year ago. This place just reopened, and the food is terrible, I think they are experimenting to see what people like. They need to get a real cook and better quality ingridents, if they want to stay in business, times have changed since they burned down before the recession, and people are careful with their money now, more so than ever. Before the fire, the food was decent, not good or great, but decent.
Do not go here!!!. This place just reopened and needs to close to make way for a restaurant that knows what it is doing, Umm, so from the outside this place looks very appealing. Once inside things are oh so different. The main room is nice and spacious then u realize the kitchen is in the middle of the main room. It became a real distraction seeing everyone flying through the kitchen all the time and was just hectic. Very unorganized and seems like the restaurant should remodel again because of the awkward set up. Moving on to the food.. How do i put this lightly? it was horrible.. the only good thing i ate was the minestrone soup which probably came from a can, the bread sticks were ok; not great like everyone on this site seems to think. My dish was the pasta asparagus. it tasted and looked like it can be made at home for $2.50 which in fact it was $15. it was tasteless and i returned. My boyfriend got a seafood pasta and he said the shrimp was overcooked and the sauce was bland and flavorless, for being so pricey ($21) it was definitely not up to par. my sister got chicken marsala and said it was just weird.. cheesecake factory has the same dish for cheaper the price and sooo much better.. and lastly we had to be patient during our meal, everything took quite a while to come out even though the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. i think this restaurant needs to rethink their prices and taste their own dishes and see if any of it is worth paying for.. all in all, its a waste of time and money. if u r going to be in the neighborhood go to hugos right down the street for an amazing meal worth the price.
