Two words: French toast! Elvis French toast was AMAZINC
This was my most favourite stop on recent trip to Cali. I have never been more delighted by an establishment than when I walked in to find a shabby-chic decked out garden terrace to enjoy a breakfast with my hubby on. Besides the decor being fab, the menu was huge (usually a red flag) and I couldn’t help but wonder with this many menu items could everything be as good as it sounds?… Well it was. Both breakfast items we ordered were unbelievable (French toast with fresh strawberries and cream cheese on house made brioche & french toast with pecans, caramelized pears and brown sugar sauce). I was drooling over all of the other menu items so we decided to come back for dinner and again were not disappointed. I can see why they were voted best burger in L.A.! My burger was not only so huge I had to eat it with a knife and fork, but hands down it was the best burger I’ve ever had (avocado, special sauce, cheese, lettuce, teriyaki sauted mushrooms, bacon, AMAZING). We also had an appetizer of Garlic cheese bread which was too garlicky for my tastes but very well made, gooey, crispy bread and delicious if you’re a garlic lover. I wish I lived in Marina del Rey so I could eat here on a weekly basis! Well done, 26 Beach:)
Screwed up reservations. Usually love the place and the food but the staff has no idea as what is going on. I called the restaurant direct to make a reservation for 12 people for my grandsons birthday. The reservation was made several days in advance and accepted by the woman who answered the phone. When we ariived at the place we were told they had no reservation for us. This is the second time this happend to me at this restaurnat. They did accomodate us but not without some drama. The manager cme over as spoke to us and assured us that he checkd and there was no reservation on their books for us. Upon arriveing home after dinner I checked my cell phone and found a voicemale from the manager we weres speaking with saying it is now 7:38pm and we hade a 7:00pm resevation and they were releasing the table.At the time he left the message we were sitting there having dinner. So they apparantly have no idea as to what is happening in their restaurant

Great patio!. I love the decor in this place. The patio is like a little shabby chic garden party. Great for girls who want to do a mimosa-filled Sunday brunch. The inside dining area has a totally different vibe, but is equally cool (and more masculine). The food here is fantastic. They have great salads in which they use a mix of funky ingredients. Burgers are also great. I’m a sucker for the curry chicken pasta. The brunch menu is ridiculously good.
26 Beach. This is one of my favorite places in Los Angeles. The menu is ever-changing and always full of fun choices. Everyone i bring here is always impressed. I just tried the Sushi inspired burgers and loved them. Talk about a different take on a burger it was fantastic. More than that we love to have breakfast there. I drive from West Hills just for breakfast some days. Trust me when i say try it you will not be disappointed.
