An oldie but a goodie, although I’m not giving it too high of a rating because of the paid parking.Went there for happy hour, the parking was empty but still had to pay 6$ for the parking. My friend is a regular here. The menu is good and diverse enough for the happy hour and the prices are very good. Service is just ok.
An excellent restaurant. The view of the marina is beautiful but the good is fantastic. I had the lobster bisque which was excellent and then had the short ribs. They were so tender you can eat it with a fork. For dessert had the cheesecake which was divine. A great meal.
Food Not Worth a Repeat Performance. The Chart House in Marina del Rey is in a beautiful setting overlooking the marina. It is appealing inside with a friendly staff. That’s where it ended for us and 6 guests celebrating our granddaughter’s birthday. On the positive, they mentioned her birthday at the top of the menu. Overall, this rating is given for taking SO long to deliver the food and the quality of the food was not very good. One liners: they placed 2 small baskets of rolls/crackers on the table that were not fresh and did not refill them when empty (we were hungry so ate them since it took them so long to deliver the Hors’D’s). The Hors’D’s (artichokes were SOGGY and we know artichokes, the hummus on the tray did not taste fresh along with stale pita bread). Now we get to the main meal – salads: I had the chopped salad which was LIMP with hardly any salad dressing and others had the Ceasar salad they said the dressing wasn’t that good; my husband had the sampler meal and he said it was terrible – I had the prime rib that was like eating rubber along with the baked potato (how can you mess up a baked potato – well they know how). The mushrooms were very good as was the water. I had read former blogs where they were slow to serve but thought it may have been a bad day for the staff. This meal took 3, yes, THREE hours to serve and finish the meal and we had a limo with it’s meter ticking. I had requested window seating as the guests are not from the beach area. They were not busy when we arrived at 6:00 PM and the host said he got the next best location – behind the first row of tables. This disappointing evening cost almost $900 – we will take our money elsewhere in the future!
Food wasn’t good, service not much better and overpriced. U can get great views all over- not worth it at all!
