Great location right on the board walk and great to watch the passersby and the sunset. The restaurant is quite spaced out with an interior bar too. Food service was really quick and service was friendly and helpful. The pulled pork wrap was tasty and was a good serving size. The dish came with fries too.
This was my first time in Venice, but I saw how busy this place was and thought it had to be good. Its right on the beach front so dinner views are amazing if the beach. I went at sunset so it was beautiful. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger from here. The burger was very basic but delicious. Serving size was decent. But the service was wonderful. Very attentive.
2017/08/17After a stroll around Venice Beach, we stopped at the Sidewalk Cafe for lunch. The place was fairly busy, but we only had to wait a couple of minutes to get a table under the covered patio, right beside the main sidewalk. The menu is fairly large, and we were looking for lighter choices. Under the Bookshelf Sandwichs menu, SWMBO selected the Farmers Almanac, which is a tuna salad sandwich with lettuce on whole wheat bread. Simple sandwich done right. I had the Santa Fe Salad, with avocado, corn, tomato, jack cheese, black beans, mixed greens, tossed in a smoky ranch dressing, topped with tortilla strips and served in a tortilla bowl. It was a good salad, but I wasn’t as hungry as I thought, so I left some salad and most of the bowl. As busy as it was, service was good. What made the meal was the ambiance of being right on the sidewalk, with many things going on.
It’s a nice cafe on Venice beach Los Angeles. The atmosphere is very lively with a live band performance. Food is good & they serve big portions.
For a beach restaurant this place is pretty good. Love the patio right on the beach walk and people watching as we eat. We had a party of six and had a short wait but not too bad and the hostess was friendly. Our server was pleasant but it took so long to get everything. From drinks (and then refills) to placing our order it was a wait. But the food was good. I got the fish tacos and was very pleased with the portions and the taste. The salsa and creamy sauce were both delish. The rest of the group ordered burgers and wraps. Everyone was pleased. The orders were accurate and came out hot or cold as needed.
great location perfect for people-watching! yummy food and drinks, very reasonably priced, and fast service considering how crazy busy they can get.
Came to Venice beach for a look around and decided on this place for brunch. The eggs bene came with a mimosa so it was the front runner. Nice little place full of locals, pleasant views and atmosphere. Our waiter was fair, not brilliant and the food was basic but nice. Overall not a bad experience.
