Most disappointing breakfast at Stones. The breakfast buffet at the Stones located at the Marriott in Marina del Rey is very poor and not tasty at all. The food offered is cooked a while ago and the eggs offered are flavorless. The breakfast offered is high priced but is not valuable the price at all. You can for sure get a better breakfast at places around the hotel. And here comes the worst part: when you pay and you don’t tip at least 15% the restaurant will charge you the 15% anyway. This happened to me. I decided to give a tip of 10% as the food was so poor and the service was not worse a higher tip. So, be aware, it is not your decision how much will be charged as tip. The restaurant just takes at least 15% out of your pocket without your approval. I queried the charge and the manager told me this is a bank charge and has nothing to do with the restaurant. He just lied to me! And as I didn’t give up to ask more questions, he had to admit that the restaurant charges automatically 15% – always. I will not visit this place again because they play dirty.
