I actually stumbled upon Tacoya by accident as the place I had in mind for dinner closed earlier than expected! Despite this unexpected find I was extremely happy to have discovered a new, organic taco joint!Just a stones throw away from Muscle Beach on Venic Boulevard, Tacoya Organica is cute, cozy and quaint. Being a first time customer, I wanted a few minutes to look over the whole menu and get a sense of how the place operated. The intimacy of the place is great but I felt quite pressured to order as the cashiers were staring at me intently for quite awhile. This is partly due to how close the counter/menu and entrance are to each other. I decided on a the 3 taco special with Grilled Steelhead in 3 styles – my favourite being the Baja! I ordered a side of corn chips and salsa which I was assured would be enough for 1 person.I sat down and after about 5 minutes my food arrived! The corn chips and salsa were awesome – great tasting and a good portion size. The tacos were smaller than I had anticipated but I could taste with every bite just how fresh the ingredients were. The corn tortillas were pressed and grilled to perfection. Although I enjoyed sampling the different styles – my favourite was the Baja!I was enjoying my meal so much that I actually ended up ordering a 4th taco! Would definitely be back and/or would visit another outlet.
