Who needs a spoon…. … when there’s sticky rice. Surrounded by all the Thai goodness in Long Beach (and nothing against that Thai goodness) I will brave the 405 traffic whenever I can to make it out to this little hole. The shack sized building, gravel parking, and vacant flower shop next door may scare off the faint of heart. But hopefully not you because inside is an amazing spicy eggplant with tofu, curry, and sticky rice to soak up anything trying to sneak away.They’ve lost a step in the last few years and it’s one of the few Thai places where I would not recommend the pad thai, their menu doesn’t steer away from your standard Thai menu, but some places just find a little more flavor and this place still comes through enough to make the drive worth while.
Who ever wrote that blog post is an absolute idiot. Yea the restaurant may not be the most beautiful but the food makes up for EVERYTHING! I swear the portions were ginormous, and the plates I ordered were extremely flavorful and delicious. I would definitely come back.
Wow! What.a find! The spicy seafood soup is chock-full of …DELICIOUS SEAFOO! (Unlike other places where fish remaines in the pan next to the soup) I ate there with four big eaters, ordered six dishes plus beers and spent $100 incl.tax and $20 tip.I LOVE this place and will return there soon!
