WORST EVER!!. Disgusting!! Thought it would at least be better than a Denny’s or Carrows. NOPE!! How anyone can mess up mashed potatoes and fried chicken is beyond words. The mashed potatoes were not fresh, they were from a box. The gravy from a can and the chicken just thrown into a frier. No veggies on the side just sad tomatoes and a piece of toast. The salad is ice berg!! No nutrition here. WORST EVER! $13 TOO. FAIL!!
The J and M cafe couldn’t be a better place to enjoy a lunch or dinner with someone you love. The owners, a husband and wife, operate the entire restaurant almost completely on their own. The lunch that I had was better than average and the company that the owners gave and the attention that they paid to all of their customers is second to none. They have a great special board and you definately get more than your moneys worth. I dont know how much of a tourist stop Oak View is but if and when you are driving through, stop and grab a bite to it. You will regret missing it if you do. -Jordan
My boyfriend and I were on our way to Ojai when we decided to stop at J&M. Neither of is had been before now. The cafe is a breakfast and lunch stop, they arnt open past 2 but are open daily. The food was great, but it really was the atmosphere and people that got me! The owners are great and you can tell they put there heart into that place. We will be back for sure!
