Very good food!. I came across this little Mexican food restaurant in a strip mall and noticed several latinos eating here which I generally associate with quality food. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly, and the menu extensive. I ordered to go three tacos-one each of fish, shrimp, and carne asada, and beef enchiladas.THE GOOD: The shrimp taco was truly one of the BEST I have ever had. The shrimp tasted fresh, flavorful, and were flat-grilled with no breading (a huge plus). The carne asada taco had a healthy amount of chopped beef that was seared nicely. The dark red sauce on the enchiladas was DELICIOUS. This red sauce and the green chile puree from their homemade salsa bar reminded me of a great restaurant I used to frequent in Las Cruces, NM. There are four tasty salsas and spicy pickled carrots on their homemade salsa bar.THE OK: The fish taco gets HIGH POINTS FOR NO BREADING on the fish, fresh flavor, and a nice light cream sauce, however, the fish itself needed more seasoning and the taco was made a flour tortilla, which I think dulled the flavors. I would definitely order the fish taco again but with a corn tortilla.THE BAD: Despite the four good salsas on their homemade salsa bar there is one that is awful- it is a mild, chunky red salsa that has an odd sweet flavor resembling sweet pickles. Go for any of the other 4 salsas they offer, but avoid this one.I look forward to returning to this restaurant and trying new items, including their mole sauce.
Wow! Great Mexican and amazing house made salsas.
