  UPDATE: Almost forgot to update this review. Another visit to Georgia’s and just as the previous meal I had here, all was delicious.This visit me and two others ordered the Gretchen’s Jambalaya and fried catfish to share. Catfish wouldn’t be my first choice for a meal and wasn’t for this meal but I’m glad it was ordered because it was good. The highlight was the seasonings used in the cornmeal batter. Good stuff!The jambalaya had a bit more tomato taste than most I’ve tasted. That’s not a complaint because it was flavorful but I had to throw that out there as far as describing its taste goes. The best part about the jambalaya was the andouille sausages in the puree. I can honestly say I had to have been the one to eat all the sausages within the dish because I made sure to grab a piece of sausage with every dip from my spoon. When a friend said there’s no more sausages, a short guilty silence came from me before I directing their attention to the shrimp and chicken that was left LOL.This was my first time having the collards that were juicy and well seasoned. I was a fan of the mac and cornbread from my last visit so I had to get them again. Just as the last visit they both were great sides.Georgia’s continues to impress with Southern style cuisine. I still haven’t gotten around to trying the fried chicken so I have to make that a must for my next visit.Visit Date 2/12/2017I can finally add Georgia’s to my list of places I’ve eaten at in the Anaheim Packing District. Delicious!!!I have a friend who swears by the fried chicken and Mac n Cheese here who suggested I try them. I got the Mac n Cheese part right from his suggestion but swayed to the ribs instead as they looked awesome sitting on another persons plate I eyed while in line.The mac n cheese is very tasty and cheesy. I can’t count how many times I’ve ordered mac n cheese from a restaurant and its more like mac n mac from the lack of cheese. For the ribs…flavorful, meaty, not too heavy on the BBQ sauce, and very tender. The meat literally falls right off the bones. I can’t stand ribs that are tough so this was a most definite plus.I’m now a fan of the ribs but the chicken is must order for my next visit. If the ribs are any indication, the chicken will be awesome.Visit date 8/8/2015

  we’re always on the search for good southern food, so when we saw georgia’s restaurant inside the anaheim packing house, we just had to try it! james had the fried catfish, and i had the fried chicken. both came with two sides of our choice (collard greens, garlic rice, baked beans and mac’n’cheese for us!) and if you’re not taking it to go, you also get a free order of their cornbread. everything was amazing. fried catfish is one of the foods james misses most, and it’s hard to find it done well out here, but at georgia’s it was super fresh and delicious. i really liked that they used the same cornmeal crust on their fried chicken too. jenn.la
