This is the classiest restaurant at the Disneyland Resort! My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and it was a splendid experience. The dining room has an elegant ambiance to it. The service was amazing! We had their New York steaks with their Macaroni and Cheese for the side! As for dessert, we had their famous 24 layer chocolate cake! Such an incredible dining experience. Highly recommended for all ages. Located inside the Disneyland Hotel next to Goofy’s Kitchen.
Not worth the money. Medium rare lamb came out not just rare, but raw. Mahi mahi was overcooked. Had a chain steak house vibe, nothing too unique. Save your money, there is better food around Disney for that price.
Service & Food are Great for Breakfast, but Dinner Service is Hit or Miss. I love SH55 for breakfast. In fact I have found that it is one of the best kept secrets in Anaheim for breakfast. There are not a whole lot of places available for breakfast compared to lunch or dinner, but this place does it in both food quality and service.I have had most of their options for breakfast and have never been disappointed with the quality.Dinner is kind of a different story. While the food is quite delicious. I love the juiciness and the well seasoning of their meats as well as the high quality of their sauces and veggies I have found the service to be hit or miss. What do I mean by that you ask? Well service will be anywhere from par (acceptable) to downright WTH? I mean that our dinner server only did the bare minimum like take order and drop off the check (when asked of course.) I never quite understood that as it does not seem like the type of service Disney tends to go for… C’est la Vie though! Either way I still love this place. The 24 Layer Chocolate Cake is a must so make sure you save room for that. Also for a protein I highly recommend the Bone-In Ribeye Medium Rare with the Peppercorn Sauce. They also have a course menu if you want to check that out.Parking is validated by the restaurant and you can use self park or valet for free!Decor is simple yet refined. The palate is made up of fall and metallic colors with large photos on the walls of Walt and various celebrities of his day.All discounts apply here (yes even AP) making this a much better deal and equal in quality to say Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s Steakhouse.
I went there for a wine dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was creative and interesting and it paired well with the Groth wines.
Little known fact about Steakhouse 55- they also serve an amazing Breakfast at a reasonable price, The eggs benedict is one of the best I’ve ever had, and I try that dish everywhere. The menu has a wide array of options from traditional eggs w bacon & toast, to local favorites like Huevos Rancheros. I always make it a point to eat here when visiting Disneyland.
THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR A STEAK AT DISNEYLAND. After 3 days of greasy junk food it was time to get in a decent meal and i got to pick so i went with steakhouse 55. we got reservations the day of for 8pm but luckily disneyland closed at 6pm that day for their holiday party so i wasn’t missing out on anything that day. i made sure i ate light all day so i could really enjoy this place and that meant no corn dogs, burgers or churros. i was hungry and ready to get my fix of red meat.we arrived a little early but were seated immediately by a woman possibly in her 80’s. she was so nice and might have been there to serve walt back when it was granville’s steakhouse back in the day. we were sat in a comfy round booth that was a little snug but we made due. the menu looked so good and there were so many directions i wanted to go but i already knew i had to have the bone-in ribeye steak. my mom ordered the lobster tail and dad went with the new york steak. unfortunately they offer sides separately so we just had to try the potato stack au gratin and the sauteed green beans. both the sides were all $7 but worth every dollar. i decided to start with the wedge salad for $8 and it would prove to be a great start. the iceberg was topped with red onion, tomato and a gorgonzola dressing. i had the server add some extra fresh cracked pepper and that sealed the deal. is that disney magic pepper? it was seriously the best cracked pepper i have had and i know it sounds funny. it really complimented this awesome salad. you could tell the dressing was fresh as it had huge chunks of cheese and it made it difficult to share because i wanted it all to myself. sure every place seems to have a wedge salad these days but this was the best salad i have had in a long time.when the entrees arrived by cart my eyes were as big as a virgin in a strip club. the plates were huge and we were ready for more. my ribeye was so huge and cooked to a perfect medium. at $36 this 18 ounce masterpiece looked well worth it. it had the signature rub and you could taste it in every bite. whatever was in that rub had me at hello. i added a peppercorn demi sauce for an additional $4 and it complimented the steak to an extreme. i wanted every bite to myself but we share so i gave some to my parents and they were floored. it’s hard to find a good ribeye steak and this was by far the best they have had in years. it was so flavorful and tender i wish yelp had taste o vision so you could try it.the lobster my mom ordered was $45 and darn tasty. it was the best she had had in a very long time. she gave me a huge taste and was so tender and sweet. there was no lemon or butter needed at all the meat itself was so flavorful it was scrumptious. you can’t go wrong with a night of surf and turf. it was australian lobster tail so no more maine for me.the 14 ounce new york steak my dad had ordered at $35 was a little tough but he added a bearnaise sauce and that made it. he shared a pretty good size portion with me and i found it pretty tender and juicy. my steak was the only one with the signature rub and we wished it had it for additional flavor. as for the sides we made two very great choices. the green beans were so tender and crisp and had applewood smoked bacon. as most of you know bacon makes everything better. it had some sort of lite sauce to it that made it so tasty. i would order this again in a heartbeat. the au gratin potato stack my dad ordered was very good. it was crispy on the outside and very creamy and tender inside. i had a little bit but by the time i wanted more they were gone. darn you dad! i can’t blame you they were a hit. as we were eating i noticed the cart go by our table and i swear i saw mac and cheese. we asked our server about it and she thought she mentioned it in the specials. nope you forgot! i love mac and cheese and we wish we had known about it but we were pretty happy with all that we had.by the time we were finished we were stuffed and couldn’t even think about dessert. we needed to save room for another day of junk food. we had a delicious meal and had great service except for the mac and cheese thing but we loved steakhouse 55. if you want a great place for dinner when in the disney district you won’t be let down by the wonderful food steakhouse 55 has to offer.
I LOVE it!!I have gone every time we go to Disneyland it’s soooo worth the money!!
