First time here, but not my first time having Ethiopian food. Two of us ordered a vegetarian and a meat combination platter to share. They both came with a nice selection of vegetables and the meat platter came with both chicken and beef. My girlfriend tried the honey wine, which we think was homemade. She described it as rustic.Overall, pretty good.
The food is great and full of flavor! We tried the lentil, the lamb and the chicken. All three were cooked with the right amount of spices and all tender. You eat the traditional Ethiopian way, with your hands helping yourself with a local type of bread that looked like a crepe but watery and small taste of vinager. Finally we had the traditional coffee ceremony, where they roast the coffee right there and brew it inside the coffee pot. Very friendly staff that do the serving and the cooking for you. This is a must try place for everyone open to try new tastes.
Just ate at Tana and we totally enjoyed it! The food was delicious and the service excellent. Restaurant is very clean. If it is your first time eating Ethiopian food I will definitely recommend it.
Decided to try this restaurant while visiting on vacation. The food was excellent, the service friendly and the prices very reasonable. We had a great and filling dinner for under $25. The injera was the best I’ve ever had, and everything was tasty, hot and fresh. If you like your food spicy, they don’t do it so much here due to customer preference. So if you want it spicy, they will gladly supply the extra spice powder to sprinkle on to your preferred spiciness. Would definitely return here when visiting again!
Not the best Ethiopian food I’ve had but not bad for how close to home ( Fullerton ) would go back if I needed an enjera fix.
Hard to find, slightly dodgy neighborhood but the food makes it all worthwhile. Order the kettle coffee the second you sit down. We’ll be back!
